For professionals

Get booked for the work you do

Set up a business profile in the TaskOak app, show customers what you offer and what it costs, and manage bookings and chats in one place.

Setting up your profile

  1. Choose your skill

Pick your skill from the list, from plumber, electrician and tailor to caterer, photographer and tutor. If yours is not there, choose "Other" and type it in.

  2. List your services

Choose the services you offer for that skill, and add your own if something is missing.

  3. Set your own prices

You set a price for every service. Customers see your prices before they book, and a booking always uses the price on your list.

  4. Choose where you work

Choose up to 3 states, one of them your main state. If a customer's address is in a state you do not serve, the app warns them before they book.

  5. Get your identity checked

Send your legal name, a photo of your identity document and a selfie from the app. A member of TaskOak staff reviews them and decides. Once you are verified, your profile shows it.

Once you are listed

  • Accept or decline

Booking requests come to you. You decide which ones to take, and set your working hours so customers only pick times you are free.

  • Chat with customers

Agree the details in the app's chat. Keep contact inside TaskOak: the text on your profile, such as your business name, services and description, cannot include phone numbers, email addresses or web links.

  • Build your reputation

Only a customer who completed a booking with you can review it, once. Good work shows on your profile.

  • Getting paid

Online payment is not switched on in the app yet. For now, customers pay you after the service.

What we ask of you

Describe yourself and your services honestly, keep your prices and working hours up to date, and turn up when you accept a booking. Being verified confirms who you are; it is not a promise about the quality of your work, so your reviews matter. The full rules are in the Terms of Service.

Your identity document and selfie are deleted as soon as a member of staff has decided; only the decision is kept. See the Privacy Policy.
