How it works for customers

  1. Search by state and skill

Choose your state and the kind of help you need, such as a plumber, a hairdresser or a generator repairer.

  2. Compare professionals

Each professional sets their own services and their own prices, so you see what a job costs before you book. Reviews come only from customers who completed a booking.

  3. Book a time

Pick a service and a time the professional has free. They accept or decline your request, and you see their answer in the app.

  4. Chat in the app

Agree the details in TaskOak's chat, before and after the booking. You can send photos too.

  5. Pay after the service

For now, you pay the professional after the work is done. Online payment in the app is not switched on yet.

  6. Leave a review

Once the job is complete, you can rate it and say how it went, to help the next customer choose.

Built to be honest

  • Identity checks

A professional marked as verified has sent an identity document and a selfie that a member of TaskOak staff has checked. How we keep people safe

  • Real prices

The price of a booking comes from the professional's own price list and cannot be changed after you book.

  • Report and block

You can report a conversation or a review, and block anyone who is bothering you. Reports go to TaskOak staff.
